the great last house ever hunt
We have been looking at houses for what seems like forever. We are looking at more today. Each new search seems to give us something new to think about. I don’t ever want to move again, ever! Of course I’m not so sure about Pat. Pat and I have very different takes on what we need in a house. Basically it’s just the two of us now…Megan lives with us but only during breaks from school. We’ve never had a big house, and although I have always wanted one why go big now???? I’ve always wanted a big kitchen, I have no idea why since I can’t cook at all, but they always look so nice in other peoples homes. Megan said I need to look for a kitchen like my cousin Carrie’s. She lives in fantasyland. At my age keep up with the jones is way over rated. I’m looking for comfort and a forever home. Pat’s looking for a man cave and garage.
Things we can agree on, we need a fenced in yard for the dogs, as few stairs as possible and as much hardwood vs carpet as possible. I miss the hardwoods in our old house. I hate carpet. My dog Rory likes to eat carpet…that’s another story.
Our realtor must hate us. We have looked at 10 houses already. I like one Pat likes another so we keep looking until we find one we both like or one of us gives in…. In the world of Pat and Beth that could be a really, really long time. Until then we are seeing 4 more houses today! yea
